How do you spawn the hive mind in calamity? ›

The Hive Mind does not spawn on its own and requires the player to summon it using a Teratoma or by killing a Hive Tumor in The Corruption.

The Flare Bolt is a powerful weapon that can damage the Hive Mind and its minions at the same time. Sky Glaze deals heavy damage to the Hive Mind and is especially useful for the first phase. The Hellwing Staff does strong damage to the Hive Mind.

The Hive Tumor can be detected by the Lifeform Analyzer and its upgrades.

The Perforators could be considered the Crimson's version of the Eater of Worlds, while The Hive Mind could be considered the Corruption's version of the Brain of Cthulhu. Although difficult, it is possible to kill the Perforator Hive without defeating all or even any of the worms.
